Because our children are our most valuable possession, Alarm Protection Services, the National Crime Prevention Council, and the Louisiana State Troopers Assn. have developed a child safety program with McGruff the Crime Dog. 

After your state approved fire alarm system is installed, we will set up a presentation at your preschool, day care center, or elementary school with McGruff to hand out the McGruffletter, a safety magazine. A Louisiana State Trooper will be present to give the children several safety tips as well as answer any questions.   

                         This is just one of the many benefits of being an APS client. 

In a perfect world, our children would be safe from all harm. They could play with friends and go off to school without any worries or concerns. But this is the real world. Although most kids grow up without any negative experiences, we have to do our best to prepare them in case they are ever in danger or threatened in any way.

This booklet was created to do just that. It helps you teach your children how to react in various emergency situations. It also contains a personal identification section, complete with a fingerprinting kit to help you keep an up-to-date file on your child.
